But first, let me introduce myself…

I’m Lauren White and for many years, I couldn't speak.

Even though there was no shortage of words inside of me. 

I could write and write and write and write but when it came to speaking to all of that power and possibility inside...

My throat just closed up.

But as a solo operator and one-woman show, I knew I needed speak up for my services, my zone of genius and offers again and again and not just in the written (AKA safer) form. 

I had to speak using my voice in public and online so that the work could spread further.

And most challenging of all, I had to do it with a genetic hearing impairment that had me so ashamed I wore my hair long and hanging over my ears so that no one saw I needed devices.

I distinctly remember giving myself an out – “you can't speak on a stage because of your hearing…”

But I never felt satisfied or a sense of relief from the idea of bailing.

Bailing didn't turn me on.

The only alternative was to use my throat more powerfully, on repeat, and do it my way.

What I did that no one actually tells you to do is to:

a) Decide to speak even though your voice shakes (there is evidence of this on my YouTube channel)

b) Decide to belong to yourself first – this is sovereignty in motion

c) Keep speaking. 

That last one – ooof. 

Keep speaking amongst and in the thick of EVEN THOUGH.

If I didn't, I wouldn't have attracted the majority of my current client base who have heard and seen me speaking.

Not writing, blogging and posting - speaking.

I show up now unshakeable as my whole, queer, hearing impaired, not-normal brained self – not just because it now generates a climax that parallels intimacy but I do it for my current and future clients.
